Rockola.app for DJs

Take Rockola.app to your next gig

The software is already built and running. You create your account, put your QR code on the tables and the bar, and guests search and request tracks straight from their own phones. Requests land in a live queue you can see. The floor suggests; you still decide what plays and in what order.

  • Guests request from their own phone — no app to install
  • Watch the queue live and skip, remove or reorder anything
  • One address and one QR code that works at every gig you play
  • Same setup for a 200-guest wedding or a 20-guest birthday

What it adds to your DJ service

It does not replace what you do. It gives you something most DJs on the same shortlist are not bringing.

Nobody crowds the booth

The line of guests shouting requests over the monitors goes away. The request arrives written down, with the exact title, and you read it when you have a hand free.

You read the room before you misread it

The queue is a live read of what the floor wants. You can see where the mood is heading and decide whether to follow it or steer it back.

Control stays with you

Skip, delete or bump anything from your dashboard, and block whole artists or titles before the event even starts.

A selling point you can quote on

"Your guests can request songs from their phones" is a concrete line you can put in your package and charge for.

How a gig actually runs

Five steps. Setup takes minutes, and the only thing the venue has to provide is a connection for the screen.

  1. Create your account

One signup gets you your own address, your QR code and your dashboard. Nothing to buy, nothing to install — it runs in a browser.

  2. Guests scan the QR code

Put it on the tables, on the bar or on the screen. It opens in the phone browser: no app, no signup, no account to create.

  3. They search and request

They type a name, see the result with its artwork and send it. If you would rather nobody pays anything, switch on Free Mode and requests cost no credits.

  4. The track enters the queue

It shows up in your dashboard and on the event screen, in order, with what is playing before it and after it.

  5. You decide what plays

Either let the queue play itself through the screen into the PA, or treat it as a request board and keep mixing on your own gear. Both work.

DJ questions

Does Rockola.app replace the DJ?

No, and it is not built to. It is a tool a DJ adds to the service: it collects and orders what the crowd is asking for, but what plays, in what order and with what mix is still the DJ's call from the dashboard and the decks.

Does it integrate with Serato, Rekordbox or Traktor?

There is no integration with DJ software. Rockola.app works two ways: it plays the queue on its own screen wired into the PA, or it acts as a request board you read from the dashboard while you mix on your usual setup.

Do my guests have to install anything?

Nothing at all. They scan the QR code with the camera and it opens in the browser. No download, no account, no personal details handed over.

Can I stop people requesting tracks I don't want?

Yes. From the dashboard you set a blacklist of artists, titles or specific songs — or the other way round: an allow list where everything else is out. And you can skip or delete anything already in the queue at any time.

What if the venue's internet is bad?

Guests use their own data or the venue Wi-Fi to request; the screen doing the playing does need a stable connection. If the room is known for poor signal, test it before the date or bring your own hotspot.

Can I charge guests per song?

You can, though almost nobody does at a private event. Paid Mode charges one credit per song and you generate the codes; Free Mode removes charging entirely. The switch lives in Settings and you can flip it whenever you want.
